Here is an edible play dough recipe kids will love.
Most kids love play dough and it keeps them busy for hours. They can be creative as they like and if the dough is tasty, they can enjoy eating their works of art later on.
Playing with play dough is both fun and educational and if you can close your eyes to the mess for an afternoon, the kids and you can build some happy memories together.
The reason being is that you don’t have to cook it and they can eat their creations as they make them.
This recipe is so simple that the kids can even mix it up themselves. Best of all, it doesn’t need any cooking.
Chocolate Play Dough Recipe Kids Can Enjoy
This recipe is enough for two children to work with.
The number of treats they can make will depend on the size and the quantity of the objects or little sculptures that they make.
If you want to, you can divide the dough into small portions after mixing it.
This will give young cooks/artists an idea of how big each of their sculptures should be.
You Will Need:
1/2 cup of margarine or butter
6 tablespoons of cocoa
3 tablespoons castor sugar
Method:
Take the butter or margarine from the fridge about a half hour before you need it.
Mix the cocoa and castor sugar in a bowl.
Add the butter or margarine and let your child mix everything using his/her hands.
If needed, you can add about 15ml (3 teaspoons) of water or, if you prefer, more butter.
